For Greece, compare the data allowance, validity period and sharing rules before picking a price. An island trip also needs a coverage check: a plan that covers Greece does not promise a steady connection throughout a ferry crossing.
Our price table compares Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Yesim and Ubigi, checked Oct 2026. Use it to narrow your options, then weigh the differences below, especially if your route includes other European countries.

Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "With Airalo Unlimited eSIMs, this high-speed allowance is 3GB per day at 20 Mbps, after which your connection continues at reduced speeds."
Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "All Holafly plans include unlimited data and up to 1 GB of phone hotspot sharing daily, which is more than enough to supply multiple connected devices with…"
Longest listed plan is 3 days, shorter than your 7-day trip: you would need a second plan or a top-up.
Plan buttons go to the provider's own page through our /go/ link. We may earn a commission from some providers; it does not change the order above, which is by total price.

Fair-use notes, quoted from provider pages
Start with how long you need the plan to last, then choose an allowance that fits your data habits. A longer validity period does not mean more data. Yesim lists 1 GB for 30 days at US$3.00, the lowest entry price in our Greece price table. That keeps the initial spend down, but leaves you with a small allowance.
For a larger fixed allowance, compare prices at the same size. Yesim lists 5 GB for 30 days at US$11.52, while Saily lists 5 GB for 30 days at US$13.99. Saily explicitly allows hotspot use without restrictions; Yesim says hotspot availability depends on the operator. If you want to share data, that difference matters alongside the price.
Ubigi lists 25 GB for 30 days at US$22.00. At US$0.88 per GB, it has the lowest price per GB in our Greece table. It is worth comparing if you expect to use a larger allowance, but a low unit price is not a reason to buy data you do not need.
For a Greece-only itinerary, compare the destination plans first. If your trip continues elsewhere, check a regional plan's country coverage. Airalo's Greece page lists a European Union and United Kingdom option from US$4.00. That listing does not state its allowance or validity, so the starting price alone is not enough to compare it with a Greece plan.
Unlimited plans let you compare by trip length rather than a fixed total allowance, but sharing and fair-use rules still matter. Airalo lists unlimited data for 7 days at US$27.00; Holafly lists the same duration at US$27.50. Do not treat the price comparison as a promise of identical service.
Holafly allows you to share 1 GB per day. Its 7-day plan therefore includes 7 GB of shareable data, even though the phone's plan is sold as unlimited. If you intend to connect another device, separate your own data use from the hotspot allowance.
Holafly says operators may temporarily apply a Fair Usage Policy for no more than 1 day to manage network traffic. Yesim also warns that data speed may be limited under the network operator's Fair Usage Policy. An unlimited label does not remove those conditions.
Airalo names Nova as its primary network in Greece and indicates access to another network. Holafly names Vodafone Greece and Nova. Nomad also names Nova and Vodafone. Compare those named networks alongside the allowance and price, rather than assuming every provider uses the same connection.
For island hopping, Holafly says you can travel around Greece and between islands without switching eSIMs. It also warns that coverage may be limited or unstable in mountainous regions, sparsely inhabited islands and during boat journeys. Keep that warning in mind when you need tickets or messages during a ferry crossing.
Saily lists coverage destinations including Crete, Corfu, Mykonos, Rhodes and Santorini, while saying quality depends on local network providers. Holafly offers 5G where available, as well as 4G and LTE. A named island or supported network technology is not a guarantee of a steady connection at every port or at sea.
Check your exact phone's eSIM support before buying. The provider pages we checked do not give a phone compatibility list. Then read the selected plan's installation and activation instructions: installing an eSIM and starting its validity period are separate points to check.
Airalo says you can install in advance with a stable internet connection. Holafly also allows installation before travel and says the plan activates when the eSIM connects to a supported network. Nomad lets you buy and install ahead of time, but requires activation within 60 days of purchase; the plan starts automatically on connection to the destination network.
Saily states a 180-day activation period. It says activation happens automatically when you arrive at your first destination, provided the eSIM is turned on in your device settings and roaming is enabled.
If Greece is part of a wider route, review regional coverage before purchase. Nomad says its multi-country plans connect automatically to a local carrier as you move between countries. That describes how the plan connects, not which countries your chosen package includes.
Do not count on a steady connection throughout a crossing. Holafly explicitly warns that coverage may be limited or unstable during boat journeys, as well as on sparsely inhabited islands.
Among the plans in our price table, Yesim has the lowest entry price: 1 GB for 30 days at US$3.00. Compare the allowance as well as the upfront cost.
Saily states that hotspot use has no restrictions or limitations. Holafly allows sharing 1 GB per day. Yesim says hotspot availability depends on the operator.
Compare a Greece plan for a Greece-only trip. For a route through other countries, check the regional package's included destinations, allowance and validity. Airalo lists a European Union and United Kingdom option, and Nomad describes automatic local-carrier connections on multi-country plans.
