Pick your United Kingdom eSIM by data allowance, trip length, and the network named on the provider page. Then check hotspot rules and activation timing. Our price table compares Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, and Yesim, with prices checked Oct 2026.
If your trip includes countries outside the UK, look at the regional options separately. Airalo lists a European Union and United Kingdom option, while Saily points travelers toward Europe and Global plans. That is not confirmation that every UK plan includes those destinations.

Our estimate of daily use (an assumption, not a provider figure): Light 0.5 GB, Normal 1 GB, Heavy 2.5 GB a day. Prices: provider pages, checked Oct 2026.

Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "With Airalo Unlimited eSIMs, this high-speed allowance is 3GB per day at 20 Mbps, after which your connection continues at reduced speeds."
Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "In rare cases, yes. Network operators use an international measure called the Fair Usage Policy."
Longest listed plan is 3 days, shorter than your 7-day trip: you would need a second plan or a top-up.
Plan buttons go to the provider's own page through our /go/ link. We may earn a commission from some providers; it does not change the order above, which is by total price.
Prices as listed on each provider's United Kingdom page in USD. Per-GB is our calculation. Unlimited plans have no per-GB figure because the price does not depend on use.

Fair-use notes, quoted from provider pages
Start with how much data you want to buy, then match the validity to your trip. Yesim's 1 GB plan costs US$3.00 and lasts 30 days, the lowest entry price in our price table. Saily's 1 GB plan costs US$4.49 and lasts 7 days. A longer validity period does not give you more data.
Compare providers again when you move to a larger allowance. Saily lists 10 GB for 30 days at US$18.99, while Yesim lists 10 GB for 30 days at US$19.20. At 20 GB for 30 days, Yesim costs US$26.40 and Saily costs US$30.99.
Yesim's 30 GB plan for 30 days costs US$33.60, or US$1.12 per GB, the lowest price per GB in our table. That makes it worth considering if you want that allowance, but a lower unit price is not a reason to buy data you do not expect to use.
If you prefer to add data later, Saily says its prepaid plans support top-ups. Airalo says top-ups are available for many eSIMs, with available packages shown before and after purchase. Check the specific plan rather than assuming every purchase can be extended.
Compare unlimited plans over the same travel dates. Airalo lists 7 days at US$27.00, compared with Holafly at US$27.50. For 30 days, Airalo costs US$69.00 and Holafly costs US$76.50. For a short stay, Nomad lists an unlimited 3-day plan at US$11.00.
Unlimited data does not settle the speed question. Holafly says network operators can apply a Fair Usage Policy in rare cases, temporarily reducing speed for no more than 1 day. Holafly says the restriction resets the following day.
Hotspot access is a separate limit. Holafly allows you to share 1 GB per day, so its unlimited phone data does not mean unlimited data for connected devices. Saily states that hotspot access has no restrictions, but a fixed-data plan still has its purchased allowance.
Yesim says data speed may be limited under the network operator's Fair Usage Policy and that hotspot access depends on the operator. Consider those qualifications alongside its lower-priced fixed-data options.
Use the network names as a comparison point, not a promise of identical coverage or speed everywhere. These are the names shown on the UK provider pages:
Holafly says its UK eSIM covers England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland without switching eSIMs. Nomad warns that coverage may exclude overseas territories and asks you to confirm with support before buying. It also says network availability and speed can vary by location and time of day.
For a trip beyond the UK, Airalo lists a European Union and United Kingdom option at US$4.00. Saily lists Europe coverage across 35 countries from US$4.99 and Global coverage across 121 countries from US$8.99. Compare those regional options separately from the UK plans, and check that your other destinations are included.
Check your phone's eSIM support before buying. The provider pages we checked do not give a phone compatibility list. Then read the installation and activation instructions for your chosen provider, because installing an eSIM and starting its validity are not always the same action.
Airalo says you can install in advance with a stable internet connection, including while outside the coverage area. Holafly says its plan activates when the eSIM connects to a supported network.
Saily says activation happens automatically at your destination when its eSIM is turned on and roaming is enabled. Saily gives plans a 180-day activation period. Nomad allows activation within 60 days of purchase; after that, the plan automatically activates and its expiry starts.
Yesim lists activation within 180 days of purchase, with validity beginning when you connect to a compatible network. If you need traditional calls or texts, check the product type too: Holafly's UK eSIM is data-only, while Saily offers separate phone-number, text-message, and minutes plans.
Yesim has the lowest entry price: US$3.00 for 1 GB valid for 30 days. Its 30 GB plan for 30 days costs US$33.60, giving the lowest price per GB in our table at US$1.12.
Airalo identifies EE as its primary UK network. Nomad also names EE, alongside Hutchison 3G and Vodafone. Check your selected Nomad plan for its specific network availability.
Airalo lists a European Union and United Kingdom option. Saily points travelers visiting other countries toward multi-country plans, including Europe and Global options. Choose the relevant regional product rather than assuming a UK plan covers your other stops.
Saily states that hotspot access has no restrictions. Holafly allows sharing 1 GB per day. Yesim says hotspot access depends on the operator. For a fixed-data plan, sharing uses the allowance you buy.
