Pick a Canada eSIM by matching its validity to your travel dates, then comparing the data allowance and any speed or hotspot limits. A lower price per GB can help, but not if the plan expires before your trip ends. Prices in our price table were checked Oct 2026.
Your route matters too. Named networks help you compare providers, but they are not a promise of coverage along every road between cities. If you also visit the US, check the plan's country coverage before you buy.

Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "With Airalo Unlimited eSIMs, this high-speed allowance is 3GB per day at 20 Mbps, after which your connection continues at reduced speeds."
Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "In rare cases, yes. Network operators use an international measure called the Fair Usage Policy."
Longest listed plan is 3 days, shorter than your 7-day trip: you would need a second plan or a top-up.
Plan buttons go to the provider's own page through our /go/ link. We may earn a commission from some providers; it does not change the order above, which is by total price.
Prices as listed on each provider's Canada page in USD. Per-GB is our calculation. Unlimited plans have no per-GB figure because the price does not depend on use.

Fair-use notes, quoted from provider pages
Start with how long you need the plan. Saily's 1 GB plan lasts 7 days and costs US$5.29, the lowest entry price in our price table. Yesim's 1 GB plan costs US$5.40 and lasts 30 days. If you need a small allowance over a longer stay, compare validity rather than choosing by the starting price alone.
For more data over a short stay, Ubigi lists 10 GB for 7 days at US$15.00. That works out to US$1.50 per GB, the lowest price per GB in our price table. The trade-off is the 7-day validity: it does not cover the same span as a 30-day plan.
For a longer trip, Yesim lists 10 GB for 30 days at US$26.40, while Saily lists 10 GB for 30 days at US$30.99. Choose the allowance around how you expect to use data, then compare plans with matching validity. Do not pay for a larger allowance solely because its price per GB is lower.
Compare unlimited plans by their restrictions as well as their price. For 15 days, Saily lists unlimited data at US$43.99, Airalo at US$45.00, and Holafly at US$50.50. These labels do not tell you whether the plans offer the same speed or sharing allowance.
Saily lists 3 GB per day without a speed limit and unlimited data at up to 1 Mbps. If you choose this plan, do not treat unlimited as unlimited uncapped data. Its daily high-speed allowance is a separate consideration from its validity.
Holafly says network operators can temporarily reduce speeds under a Fair Usage Policy for no more than 1 day, with the restriction resetting the following day. Holafly also limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB per day. That sharing limit matters if you want to connect another device.
Yesim warns that speeds may be limited under the network operator's Fair Usage Policy. Its Canada page also says hotspot availability depends on the operator. Keep those conditions separate from the amount of data shown in the plan table.
Airalo names Bell as its primary network in Canada. Holafly names Bell and Telus. Nomad names Rogers and Freedom Mobile. Yesim names SwitchLess Networks and says it switches to the strongest available signal. These are the network details the providers give, not interchangeable coverage guarantees.
For an itinerary with long drives between cities, pay particular attention to coverage along your route. Holafly warns that service may be weaker or unavailable in mountainous regions, forests, and roads far from major towns and cities. More data does not resolve a gap in coverage.
Nomad tells you to check the selected plan's network availability and speed because coverage can vary by location and time of day. Use the named networks as a starting point, then check the details for the plan you select.
The Canada provider pages we checked do not state that these plans also cover the US. If your trip crosses the border, confirm that the exact plan includes both countries rather than assuming Canada coverage extends to the US.
Check eSIM support for your exact phone before buying. Then distinguish installation from the start of your plan. Airalo says you can install its eSIM in advance with a stable internet connection and connect it ahead of arrival while outside the coverage area.
Holafly says its plan begins when you arrive at your destination and turn on the eSIM. Nomad says you can buy and install in advance, but must activate within 60 days of purchase. Nomad's plan starts automatically when it connects to the destination network.
Saily lists a 180-day activation period, while Yesim says to activate within 180 days of purchase. Check those deadlines if you buy well ahead of departure.
If your stay changes, Airalo says top-up packages are available in many cases; check availability for your eSIM before purchase. Nomad offers add-ons that activate automatically when the initial plan expires. Holafly describes its Canada unlimited plans as having no top-ups.
Saily has the lowest entry price in our price table: 1 GB for 7 days at US$5.29. For price per GB, Ubigi's 10 GB plan for 7 days costs US$15.00, or US$1.50 per GB. These answer different needs: a smaller upfront purchase versus a larger allowance.
Holafly allows hotspot sharing of 1 GB per day on its Canada eSIM. Yesim says hotspot availability depends on the operator. Check the sharing conditions for your selected plan rather than assuming an unlimited data label includes unlimited hotspot use.
Holafly's Canada eSIM is data-only and does not include a local number for traditional calls or texts. Saily says calls are available with a phone number and minutes plan, and SMS with a phone number and text message plan. Do not assume a data plan includes those services.
Airalo says you can install in advance with a stable internet connection. Nomad also allows advance purchase and installation, with activation required within 60 days of purchase. Follow your provider's start rules: Nomad says the plan starts when it connects to the destination network.
