For a Singapore stopover or city trip, compare the data allowance with the time you have to use it. A small fixed-data plan keeps your upfront cost down. An unlimited plan removes the fixed allowance, but speed restrictions and hotspot limits can still matter.
Use the plan finder and price table above to narrow your choice. The examples below explain the trade-offs rather than repeat every plan. Prices were checked Oct 2026.

Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "With Airalo Unlimited eSIMs, this high-speed allowance is 3GB per day at 20 Mbps, after which your connection continues at reduced speeds."
Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "If your speed is reduced, the restriction will reset the following day, restoring your plan’s original speed."
Longest listed plan is 5 days, shorter than your 7-day trip: you would need a second plan or a top-up.
Plan buttons go to the provider's own page through our /go/ link. We may earn a commission from some providers; it does not change the order above, which is by total price.
Prices as listed on each provider's Singapore page in USD. Per-GB is our calculation. Unlimited plans have no per-GB figure because the price does not depend on use.

Fair-use notes, quoted from provider pages
For a short stopover, start with how much data you expect to use, not how long the plan lasts. Yesim lists 1 GB for 30 days at US$3.00. Saily lists 1 GB for 7 days at US$3.99. The longer validity does not give you more data, but it can cover a later return to Singapore within that period.
If you want a larger allowance for a city trip, compare both size and expiry. Ubigi lists 10 GB for 7 days at US$11.00, or US$1.10 per GB. Saily lists 10 GB for 30 days at US$15.99. Ubigi costs less for that allowance; Saily gives you longer to use it.
You do not have to jump straight to 10 GB. Saily's 3 GB plan lasts 30 days and costs US$6.99. Pick an allowance that matches your expected use, then check that its validity covers your stay. A low price per GB is less useful if the plan expires before you need the remaining data.
For a brief visit, Holafly lists unlimited data for 1 day at US$3.90, while Airalo lists 3 days at US$11.50. For a longer city trip, Ubigi lists 7 days at US$19.00, compared with Airalo at US$27.00 and Holafly at US$27.50 for the same duration.
Do not read unlimited as a promise of unrestricted speed. Holafly says a fair-use speed restriction can apply in rare cases for no more than 1 day, with the original speed restored the following day. Yesim also warns that speed can fall after a daily usage limit. The provider pages we checked do not give a numeric daily throttling threshold for Holafly or Yesim.
Hotspot use is a separate consideration. Holafly allows you to share 1 GB per day, so its unlimited phone data does not mean unlimited tethering. Saily states that hotspot sharing has no separate limit, but its listed Singapore plans have fixed data allowances. Compare those terms if you need to connect a laptop or another phone.
Airalo names Singtel and an additional network on its Singapore page. Holafly names Singtel. Nomad names Starhub / SingTel, while Yesim lists SwitchLess Networks. Treat these as the provider's network labels, not a guarantee of equal performance everywhere.
Nomad tells you to check the specific plan for network availability and speed, which can vary by location and time of day. Saily names coverage areas including Marina Bay and Changi Airport, while warning that coverage quality depends on local network providers.
If your trip continues beyond Singapore, check the regional package rather than assuming a local plan carries over. Airalo points to regional and global plans, and Holafly points to an Asia eSIM. The provider pages we checked do not confirm Malaysia or Indonesia coverage for those regional options. Saily explicitly says its basic Singapore plan works only in Singapore and suggests a separate Malaysia eSIM.
Check your phone's eSIM compatibility before paying, then follow the installation and activation instructions for your chosen provider. Installation timing is not interchangeable: Airalo says you can install in advance with a stable internet connection, while Yesim instructs you to install upon arrival.
Saily says its plan activates automatically at your first destination when the eSIM is turned on and roaming is enabled. Holafly says its plan begins when you arrive and turn on the eSIM. Nomad says some eSIMs need manual activation, so read the installation email.
Also check the purchase-to-activation window. Nomad requires activation within 60 days of purchase; Yesim lists 90 days. Saily lists a 180-day activation period, after which an unused plan activates automatically.
If you might need more data, check the refill route before buying. Airalo offers top-ups where available. Saily lets you buy more data in its app, with the new plan activating when the first runs out. Nomad says an add-on activates when the initial plan expires. Holafly's unlimited plans have no top-ups.
Compare a small allowance with a short unlimited plan. Yesim lists 1 GB for 30 days at US$3.00; Holafly lists unlimited data for 1 day at US$3.90. Choose based on your expected use and the time you need coverage, not the headline price alone.
Saily says its basic Singapore plan works only in Singapore and suggests a separate Malaysia eSIM. Airalo and Holafly point to broader regional options, but check the selected package's country list before buying.
Holafly allows 1 GB of hotspot sharing per day. Saily states that hotspot sharing has no separate limit, although you still have a fixed plan allowance to use.
Holafly's Singapore eSIM is data-only, without a local number for traditional calls or texts. Saily says calls are available through a Singapore minutes plan, with minutes covering both incoming and outgoing calls. Do not assume a data plan includes that calling option.
