Pick your Indonesia eSIM by data allowance, trip length, and the places you plan to visit. For Bali and island trips, the named network and coverage notes matter alongside the price.
Use the plan finder and our price table above to narrow your options. The comparisons below explain the trade-offs between fixed data and unlimited plans, including hotspot rules and activation timing. Prices checked Oct 2026.

Unlimited plan. The provider page we checked did not state a daily speed cap.
Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "With Airalo Unlimited eSIMs, this high-speed allowance is 3GB per day at 20 Mbps, after which your connection continues at reduced speeds."
Unlimited, with a fair-use rule on the provider page: "All Holafly plans include unlimited data and up to 1 GB of phone hotspot sharing daily, which is more than enough to supply multiple connected devices with…"
Longest listed plan is 5 days, shorter than your 7-day trip: you would need a second plan or a top-up.
Plan buttons go to the provider's own page through our /go/ link. We may earn a commission from some providers; it does not change the order above, which is by total price.
Prices as listed on each provider's Indonesia page in USD. Per-GB is our calculation. Unlimited plans have no per-GB figure because the price does not depend on use.

Fair-use notes, quoted from provider pages
Start with how much mobile data you expect to use, not only how long you stay. A longer validity period does not give you more data. Yesim's 1 GB plan costs US$3.00 and lasts 30 days, making it the lowest entry price in our price table, but the allowance is still 1 GB.
For a larger fixed allowance, compare the total cost before the price per GB. Yesim lists 10 GB for 30 days at US$19.20; Saily lists 10 GB for 30 days at US$21.99. Saily explicitly allows hotspot use without restrictions, while Yesim says hotspot availability depends on the operator.
If you expect to use more data, Ubigi lists 25 GB for 30 days at US$28.00, and Yesim lists 30 GB for 30 days at US$33.60. Both work out to US$1.12 per GB. Ubigi costs less overall; Yesim gives you a larger allowance. A low price per GB is useful only if you need the data.
For a Bali stay followed by island stops, choose a validity period that covers the whole itinerary. Keep the allowance and expiry date separate when comparing fixed-data plans.
Compare unlimited plans over the same trip length. For 7 days, Ubigi costs US$24.00, Airalo costs US$27.00, and Holafly costs US$27.50. For 30 days, the same providers list US$59.00, US$69.00, and US$76.50 respectively. Ubigi has the lower price in these comparisons, but price does not explain the usage conditions.
Unlimited phone data does not mean unlimited sharing. Holafly allows you to share 1 GB per day. That limit matters if you want to connect a laptop or another traveler's phone, even though Holafly describes the phone's data allowance as unlimited.
Holafly also says its temporary network-traffic management measure lasts no more than 1 day. Yesim warns that an operator's Fair Usage Policy can limit speeds and that speeds are reduced after the relevant limit is reached. Treat these as separate provider conditions, not a shared rule for Indonesia.
The provider pages we checked do not state a numeric fair-use threshold or reduced speed for those Holafly and Yesim warnings, or detailed unlimited-plan limits for Airalo, Nomad, and Ubigi. Do not read the unlimited label as a promise of unrestricted speed.
Look at the network named on the provider page rather than assuming every Indonesia eSIM uses the same operator. The pages identify the following networks:
For Bali, Saily explicitly names coverage through Telkomsel in Bali, Jakarta, and most Indonesian islands. Nomad names Bali, Jakarta, and Yogyakarta. Saily says speed depends on location and coverage; Nomad says network availability and speed can vary by location and time of day.
Island coverage needs a closer read. Holafly describes coverage across most populated areas and tourist destinations, subject to local network availability. It warns that remote islands, mountainous regions, rainforests, and sea journeys may have limited or unstable coverage. If your itinerary includes boat crossings or remote stops, do not treat a destination-wide plan as continuous coverage.
Separate installation from the start of your plan. Airalo says you can install with a stable internet connection and connect the eSIM in advance while outside the coverage area. Saily also tells you to install before travel while you have a stable connection.
Check the activation conditions before turning the eSIM on. Holafly says its plan begins when you arrive and turn on the eSIM. Saily says activation is automatic on arrival when the eSIM is on and roaming is enabled. Saily gives you a 180-day activation period.
Nomad allows activation within 60 days of purchase, after which the plan automatically activates and the expiry starts. It says the plan normally starts when it connects to the destination network, but some eSIMs require manual activation. Read your installation email. Yesim lists activation within 180 days of purchase and says validity begins on connection to a compatible network.
For registration, Airalo says its Indonesia eSIM connects at arrival without a registration queue or prepaid paperwork. Keep that claim specific to Airalo rather than applying it to every provider.
If your trip changes, check the extension option. Nomad says an add-on activates when the initial plan expires. Airalo says top-ups are available in many cases, so confirm availability for the plan you choose.
Yesim's 1 GB plan for 30 days costs US$3.00, the lowest entry price in our price table. It suits a small data allowance, not unlimited use.
Saily and Nomad name Telkomsel and explicitly include Bali in their coverage descriptions. Holafly names XL (Excelcom)/ Telkomsel, with coverage subject to local network availability.
Saily lists hotspot access without restrictions. Holafly allows sharing 1 GB per day. Yesim says hotspot availability depends on the operator.
Do not count on continuous service. Holafly warns that coverage during sea journeys and on remote islands may be limited or unstable.
