US carrier ยท eSIM
Visible uses its app to activate an eSIM and move your service to a new phone. If you already have a Visible account, follow its existing-member transfer instructions rather than signing up for the free trial.
For travel, compare your Visible plan's included roaming with Global Pass charges and a prepaid travel eSIM. The useful distinction is what you pay for: Visible Global Pass includes calls, texts and data, while the travel plans in our price table are listed by data allowance and validity.
Checked Oct 2026 against Visible's own pages
Visible describes eSIM as a digital SIM already embedded in your phone. Its eSIM page says to make sure your phone is unlocked. Visible's app lets you check compatibility; having eSIM capability alone does not establish that your phone works with Visible.
If you bring a number from another carrier, Visible says to find your account number and PIN from that carrier. Keep activation and number transfer separate: Visible's iPhone activation page says eSIM users must activate their new service before requesting a number transfer to Visible.
Visible's new-member instructions say to download the Visible app and use the phone listed on your order. For iPhone activation, Visible gives this sequence:
Visible says this process usually takes up to 5 minutes, but it can take longer. Its iPhone page says the QR code is only visible during activation. Visible also describes QR code activation from a saved image on iOS v17 or above, without needing another device.
After activation, Visible's new-member page says to make a call, send a text and use some data to check that service works.
For an existing customer, Visible provides a SIM Swap using eSIM procedure. Start on the new phone and check its compatibility in the app before following the transfer prompts. This is the procedure Visible publishes for moving your service, not for transferring a number from another carrier.
Visible offers a 15-day free trial with unlimited Verizon 5G and 4G LTE coverage via eSIM. Visible says there is no credit card requirement, contract or auto-renewal, and you can end the trial at any time.
Visible's eligibility rules exclude current members. You must be in the United States, must not have been a Visible member in the last 12 months, and must not have participated in the trial in the past 12 months. Visible also requires an eSIM-capable phone compatible with its service; its eSIM page specifies an unlocked phone.
Visible gives this signup order:
Visible gives you a trial number without affecting your current service, so you keep your current number too. After the trial, Visible says you can bring your current number over or keep the trial number if you choose a paid plan.
Visible calls Global Pass roaming. It lets you make and receive calls, use data and use hotspot service without a different SIM. Visible says international access is automatic once Global Pass is enabled. The prices below were checked Oct 2026.
For Mexico and Canada, Visible lists coverage as included on Visible+ or $5/day on its base plan. Compare that with Saily's Mexico plan at US$37.99 for 20 GB over 30 days, or Ubigi's Canada plan at US$15.00 for 10 GB over 7 days. Included Visible+ roaming changes the comparison: a travel eSIM adds a separate purchase.
Visible lists its wider Global Pass tier at $10/day, with unlimited talk and text plus 2 GB of data with mobile hotspot in over 140 countries. For Europe or Japan, confirm your destination is covered before choosing that tier. Our price table lists Airalo's Europe unlimited plan at US$27.00 for 7 days and Saily's Japan plan at US$24.99 for 20 GB over 30 days. Compare the data allowance, validity and need for calls rather than treating these as identical services.
Visible's pages give conflicting complimentary-pass terms. Its free-trial page says Visible+ receives one complimentary day per month that expires without rolling over. Its eSIM page says Visible+ monthly and annual members, and Visible+ Pro monthly members, may carry up to 12 Global Passes. Confirm your account's available passes before budgeting.
Visible gives these steps to enable Global Pass:
Visible's quoted Global Pass details do not state what happens after the 2 GB allowance. The travel-provider entries in our price table do not state speed caps, fair-use thresholds or hotspot rules, so an unlimited label alone does not settle those questions.
Lowest total in our table for 7 days at about 1 GB a day, as listed on each provider's page (checked Oct 2026). A data-only travel eSIM can sit next to your Visible line on a dual-SIM phone.
Plan links go to the provider through our /go/ redirect; we may earn a commission. Visible is not a partner of this site.
Visible's iPhone activation page says the QR code is only visible during activation. Follow the activation prompts in the Visible app.
Yes. Visible directs existing members to install its app on the new phone, sign in, check compatibility and go to Account > Devices > Switching to eSIM is SIMple.
No. Visible excludes current members and anyone who has been a Visible member or used the trial in the past 12 months.
Visible lists Mexico and Canada coverage as included on Visible+ or $5/day on the base plan through Global Pass.
